Dracula – A Trip to Mysterious Transylvania in Search of Count Dracula

Itinerary

• Day 1. Bucharest

  Arrival at the international airport Henri Coanda. Meeting with the guide and transfer to the hotel for checking in. guided A short walk in the city center, visiting the old Princely Court ruins, the Old Court Church, the old city center. Dinner at a restaurant in the old city center.
  Accommodation in Bucharest.

• Day 2. Bucharest – Brasov

  Buffet breakfast in the hotel. Panoramic visit of the Romanian capital, including: the Parliament Palace – the second largest construction in the world, after the Pentagon, the Revolution Square, the Constitution Square, the Village Museum, and the Arch of the Triumph. We are leaving Bucharest toward Brasov. On the way we will visit Snagov Monastery - the place where it presume to guard the remains of the prince. The monastery is located on a island on Snagov lake. Lunch in Sinaia – the most important resort in Romania. After lunch we are heading to one of the most important place linked to Dracula legend – the Dracula castle in Bran. Built between 1377 - 1382, on a large rock, had two roles: commercial, collect taxes from all merchants who lived with their goods in the ancient regions of Transylvania and Wallachia and a military to defend the Bran Pass. But the castle owes its fame to the legend refers to the figure of Vlad Tepes – Dracula. After we visit Bran Castle we are heading Brasov for accommodation, a short walking tour and dinner. Overnight in Brasov.

• Day 3. Brasov – Sighisoara

  Breakfast buffet in the hotel. We start with a walking visit of Brasov. Stroll in Brasov, you can spot the Middle Age Saxon architecture of buildings, the defensive towers and the central Square in the historical center. Today we are focusing on the historical character “Vlad the Impaler”. We will track his steps in history for a better understanding his personality. There is no better place than the old Middle Age citadel of Sighisoara for this. Designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, this perfectly intact 16th century gem with nine towers, cobbled streets, burgher houses and ornate churches. it also preserve the birth house of Vlad,Tepes. In Sighisoara we will visit the Clock Tower, the Weapons Museum and the Torture Museum, as well as other objectives which transformed Sighisoara in a world heritage. On the way to Sighisoara we will also visit Saschiz fortified church – another UNESCO world heritage objective. Dinner and overnight in Sighisoara.

• Day 4. Sighisoara – Targoviste - Bucharest

  Breakfast buffet in the hotel. After breakfast we will have a final visit in Sighisoara citadel before returning to Bucharest.
  On our way back we will stop in Targoviste for visiting the Princely Court of Targoviste – which served as the capital of Walachia, where Vlad ruled. It was here that the Prince impaled a great many disloyal local lords and noblemen after inviting them to a celebratory feast. “Chindiei” Watchtower now houses an exhibition illustrating Vlad’s life. From Targoviste we will return to Bucharest.
  We are ending our tour with a fare well dinner in a restaurant in the old city center in Bucharest.

• Day 5. Bucharest

  Breakfast buffet in the hotel. At the set time transfer to the airport and end of our services.
